This oak Parachute Regiment emblem was made for my Dad’s 97th Birthday and all the Children, grand children and great grand children put in money so it really was from ALL of them.
As Dad realised this could not be left to any one child, he asked for it to be donated to the Musee Memorial Pegasus in Benouville close to where he landed.
It was very precious to Dad and now it can be seen by all ….. Ive got to transport it 125 miles by bike so needed to make sure it is well protected.
I will be presenting this to the Curator of the Museum – Mark Worthington – a good friend of my Dad’s on 6th June along with Dad’s Service Medals.
Its a great place, and if you ever visit Normandy, be sure to call in – click below for details.
