1800 miles by bike. Solo and un-supported.
This Ride is dedicated to my Dad , just one of the millions of brave young men and women who stood strong against the Nazi invaders, and fought to give our world peace, democracy and freedom.
As a WW2 veteran, Dad was often hailed a ‘hero’ for his part in the War …… he was always quick to remind you that “….. he had the help of a million others” !
He also always said that the ‘real heroes’ were the ones that gave the ultimate sacrifice.
This Ride, is a snapshot of history, a small story in the sea of a million individual experiences, that we should never forget.
This Ride is my tribute to my Dad and all who lost their lives fighting for freedom.
We shall remember them.
